Adult Day Health Centers in San Francisco will NOT close for now!

Marie Jobling, the soul of the San Francisco community, just announced on Facebook:

Over 200 ADHC participants and their supporters came out [yesterday] to fight to keep their Centers funded and open. The Mayor and the Board of Supervisors were prepared to announced that they will move $3.5 million off of reserve to keep the centers open while everyone works to get the Governor to change is mind on ending Medi-Cal funding for Adult Day Health Programs. Congratulations to everyone who made today possible.

This is great news. It means that the local authorities support the idea that it is insane to shut the doors of adult day health centers. They are an oasis in such a fragmented system.

I would have loved to be there at City hall yesterday at 12pm.

The Governor is next!
